Why Did I Start Photography?

I first picked up a camera when I was 16 years old I got it as a gift from my parents for my birthday. Before I got this camera I was more of a home bird and didn't really travel outside very often unless it was an event or for education. Once I used the camera's basic settings and gained some general knowledge about it I began to go out along the forests, beaches, and national parks snapping some photographs along the way and I was amazed at the results I got and images I captured. The reason why I started photography was to challenge myself to become more a more creative individual and to also develop a personal style of my own.

Photography to me is a fantastic hobby because it allows you to be creative with your photographs and is also a great excuse to get outside and travel to places you wouldn't necessarily visit. I also believe that photography allows us to capture images of events, times, and places. To both record what happened and allow you to share them with friends and family. By capturing photographs you're saving a moment or memory in time, allowing you to share this with other people either by digital channels or printed copies.
